MAKING AN APPOINTMENT

All surgeries and clinics operate an appointment system.  We have two first contact practitioners who can see patients  with acute problems, all our first contact practitioners can prescribe medication. Appointments for our first contact practitioners are available to book on the day from 8am, on the day you need to be seen. Gp appointments for ongoing or more complex problems are available up to 3 days in advance. Some pre-booked appointments to see the doctor are bookable 4-6 weeks in advance. Patients can book appointments either by telephone from 8am, or by our accuRx system (found on our main homepage).

A number of our appointments are available to be booked online.  Starting July 2019 we will be expanding this service by making a select few additional appointments available to be booked online from 18:00 the night before.  These will include both first contact practitioner and GP appointments.  Please see our Register For Online Services page for details on how to register for online booking.

We appreciate we are a very busy surgery and understand the frustrations of our patients when trying to obtain an appointment and we are constantly looking at new ways of increasing capacity. The Walk-in- Centre on Broad Lane Sheffield is open 8am -10pm (0114 241 2700) and is a useful resource should you have difficulty in making an appointment that is convenient to yourself. With your permission they have access to your records.

Please remember because we operate telephone appointments, our lines are very busy between 8.00am and 11.00am.  If your call is not urgent it would be appreciated if you could ring between 10.00am – 12.00 mid-day and 2.00pm – 3.00pm.
